Having been here a week i've taken some really cool nature pictures and wanted to share them with y'all because the campus is gorgeous!!!

UCSC, The Ten Colleges Nail Art

Inspired by my mother to do this manicure, I spelled out all ten colleges that are located on the UC Santa Cruz campus. The yellow nail, "Merrill College," is my personal affiliated college so i painted in the background our unofficial mascot, a tribal bird. The background for these pictures was not hard to find because this campus is beautiful!!!

Star Wars Nails

In honor of the new Star Wars movie coming out in December and this week being my first week of college, i adorned my nails with Star Wars characters and iconic items. I painted on some galaxies, light sabers, the death star, the millennium falcon, a stormtrooper, R2D2, and some classic script from the movie. 

Fifty Shade of Green

Well actually ten shades of green, so close enough. I broke two nails when i still have on my bacon and eggs manicure so i needed a quick fix and a new mani to prevent any more breaking. I ended up painting all of my nails a different shade of green and adding two rhinestones onto each nail. I happened to be drinking a green tea frappuccino that day so that turned into my background. 

Bacon and Eggs Nail Art

Looking for inspiration on Instagram i found really cute manicures featuring breakfast food. Following suit i painted on some bacon and eggs. On my left hand i featured eggs, using a white nail polish to give the eggs a crisp outline and then acrylic paint to create the yolks and shadows. For my right hand i started with a maroon base color and then added acyclic paint to create the lines of bacon fat and bacon meat. Sealing them off with two coats of topcoat i called it a day. 

While on vacation in Solvang, i found myself eating bacon and eggs and couldn't resist taking some pictures on my nails and the food together.
