No-Water Water Marble Nail Art

I did have to trim my nails a bit this week (sad face) since they were beginning to get in the way of things. Regardless, this week I wanted to try the No-Water water marble nail technique that I've been seeing a lot on Instagram. You basically paint your nails with a base color (I used a light grey) and then take 3 polishes and paint lines on your nails with the polishes. Before the polish dries you take a pointy object (I used a dotter tool) and then drag it horizontally through the polish to mix them together. You end up with a really cool textured design. I added two coats of top coat to seal the design all together.

Sleeping Teddy Bear Nail Art

I thought it would be really interesting to recreate my first ever nail art manicure. In this first photo you can see my same hand with a five year difference! In eight grade I attempted to paint (with nail polish ekk) a sleeping teddy bear and did alright for a rookie. On the right you have a more defined sleeping teddy bear with highlights and even eyebrows! It's crazy to see how much I have improved in the last five years. the rest of my nails I just kept really simple with a blue background and light blue polka dots. Hope y'all enjoy this trip down memory lane.

Tie-Dye Coachella Nails!

One of my class mates is going to Coachella this weekend and wanted a manicure that would scream music festival, hence tie-dye nails! I started with a white base color and then used five different acrylic paints to create the swirl tie-dye effect. After the swirls were drawn on, I added a little hint of glitter using an Essie flakie nail polish and one of her glitter nail polishes. All in all she is sure ready for Coachella!

Snapchat Nail Art!

This week i decided to do Snapchat inspired nail art! I drew on the cute ghost logo on my left hand's thumb and the remaining nine nails I painted on emojis that snapchat uses to describes you snap friends. For example, the yellow heart means that you are mutual best friends with someone and the sunglasses smiley face means you share a best friend with someone else. Emojis are always simple and cute and them came across really cleanly with the white background!

Birthday Cupcake Nail Art

With my birthday coming up I wanted to do a manicure around it, but not in a "in your face" kind of way. The cupcake idea seemed to solve all of my problems. I painted on alternating vanilla and chocolate cupcakes and then added the corresponding amount of candles (19) to my nails. I'm really happy with the end result, and it didn't take as long as my more complicated manicures usually do.

Can you spot my matching cupcake socks?
