French Tips with the Primary Colors

This week I decided to do a simple white french tip with a different overlapping design on each nail. The primary colors are always a classic go to color combination so I used red, yellow, and blue on each nail in a different way to bring about chaos in a commonly cohesive manicure. I do like how all of the nails seem to go together regards if it seems that they shouldn't.

Santa Cruz Inspired Nails

This will be my third Santa Cruz themed manicure, the first one being here and the second one here, so for this time around I wanted to feature some of Santa Cruz's beautiful landscapes. For my left hand I painted a bridge that is in the middle of the UCSC campus (near the engineering buildings) and on my right hand I painted the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk during sunset. I don't think I have ever done a manicure that needs multiple nails to make up the image so that was interesting to do.

Candy Hearts, Valentine's Day Nails

Usually I end up doing the same type of manicure each year for Valentine's Day so this year I wanted to do something different. Each hand has five different colored candy hearts and the only difference is that the left hand is for people in a relationship and the right hand is for all of the single people. So for the left hand I have, "Heart Me," "Kiss me," "XOXO," "2 Cute," and "Be Mine?' On my right hand I have "NO," "Stop," "EW," "Bite Me," and "Cats Only." I'm really happy with the final product, how each hand looks the same from far away but once you start to read all of the messages you can clearly see a difference in tone between the two hands.

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day, regardless if you are in a relationship.

Neon Green Newsprint

Newsprint nails are always my quick and easy go to manicure when I don't have something already planned out. My previous newsprint nails, here and here, gave me some inspiration, mostly with the floral part. I started with a neon green base color and then I added some white, yellow, and purple flowers. I finished with a top coat to seal the deal! I'll do Valentine's Day nails next week so that I'll have them come Sunday.
