While drawing in the UCSC Arboretum I found these amazing yellow flowers that proved to be a perfect background for my manicure. I used a Formula X glitter polish for my pinky and ring fingers and then for the remaining six nails, I used acrylic paint to sponge on some gradients in various directions.

Rainbow Swirls?
It's finals week.
So this is my weekly manicure.
I created a white to nude gradient and then I used some left over nail art stickers to make the manicure more interesting. After applying the stickers, I added in some corresponding acrylic paint to continue the swirly motif that they stickers came as. As simple as these were to create, they look a lot more intricate that I had originally plan, a happy accident.

Neon Gradient Manicure
Just a simple neon gradient kind of week.
I started off with a white base color and then sponged on a colorful gradient across all of my fingernails. I added on some white polka dots and finished everything off with a glossy top coats.

5 Shade Ombre Nails
Inspired from a pin off of Pinterest, I created this manicure featuring blocked gradient rectangles. For all of my nails (except my ring finger nails) I painted on five different shades of grey, starting from a very light grey to a dark grey. As for my ring fingers I used the same thought process but just in lavender tones for a pop of color. I added on some glitter to the middle stripe on each nail and then some dots between the lines and my cuticles. Overall this manicure doesn't look like much from far away but become quite intricate the closer you get.

Neon-Pastel Gradient W/Stickers
I found these really awesome Pride nail stickers at Target this weekend and thought to incorporate them into my manicure this week. (even thought the last time I used nail stickers on myself was like four years ago) I started out with a white base color and then created a gradient from neon yellow to a pastel yellow to a subtle peachy-pink. Afterwards I stuck on some stickers from the pack and then to make everything look uniform I added three rose dots at the tip of the nail sticker. This manicure is definitely unusual and I'm really digging the odd combination of colors for the gradient.
