One of the other Orientation Leaders wanted her nails done as well, so I did another manicure including the Merrill Bird. Very simple, since I did not want someone else to sit around for two and half hours. (lol)

UCSC, Merrill College Nail Art
This year I am an orientation leader for Merrill College (My college affiliation within UCSC) and this week we have the new freshman moving in so I thought it was only necessary to do another UCSC themed manicure. I have done two other UCSC themed manicures in the past so I had to have this one be a little bit different than the others. For my ring and pinky fingers I simply put some sparkles on them and for the remainder of the nails I featured names or dates important to the university. The background is one of my Merrill T-Shirts as the bird featured on one of my thumbs is the Merrill mascot.

Santa Cruz Inspired Nails
This will be my third Santa Cruz themed manicure, the first one being here and the second one here, so for this time around I wanted to feature some of Santa Cruz's beautiful landscapes. For my left hand I painted a bridge that is in the middle of the UCSC campus (near the engineering buildings) and on my right hand I painted the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk during sunset. I don't think I have ever done a manicure that needs multiple nails to make up the image so that was interesting to do.

UCSC, The Ten Colleges Nail Art
Inspired by my mother to do this manicure, I spelled out all ten colleges that are located on the UC Santa Cruz campus. The yellow nail, "Merrill College," is my personal affiliated college so i painted in the background our unofficial mascot, a tribal bird. The background for these pictures was not hard to find because this campus is beautiful!!!
