After a solid three days of binge watching Criminal Minds, I was inspired to do a crime scene manicure. I did a couple of nails featuring blood, a body outline, two fingerprints, and some caution tape. The fingerprint nails are my favorite by far since I used my own fingerprints to create the bloody motif. I used white nail polish to cover my finger and transfer my fingerprint over and then when I put a topcoat on top of the design the burgundy nail polish bleed through (pun intended) the white to create a red tint over the print.
Welcome to WeeklyWackyNaills. This is a blog about nail art, nail polish and pretty much all else related to nails. Enjoy.:)

Fourth of July Plaid Nail Art
For my Fourth of July mani I decided to do a plaid pattern incorporating red, white, and blue. Usually I do designs incorporating actual historical items like the declaration of independence or the american flag; so for the sake of this manicure I choose to switch things up a bit. This design did take a really long time since I free handed all of the stripes with a paintbrush and acrylic paint so when i was finished I was pretty proud of these. Happy July 4 everyone!

Candy Cane Nails
The beginning of Christmas/Winter themed nails! I always like to paint my nails as candy canes and since last year I did candy cane french tips I decided to do my entire nail this time around. I just used a white Sinful Color base color and then used red acrylic paint to create all of the stripes. The stripes were all free hand, so no stripping tape, which was hard at first but in the end it all worked out!
