Inspired from a pin off of Pinterest, I created this manicure featuring blocked gradient rectangles. For all of my nails (except my ring finger nails) I painted on five different shades of grey, starting from a very light grey to a dark grey. As for my ring fingers I used the same thought process but just in lavender tones for a pop of color. I added on some glitter to the middle stripe on each nail and then some dots between the lines and my cuticles. Overall this manicure doesn't look like much from far away but become quite intricate the closer you get.

5 Shades of Red Manicure
My previous manicure started to chip (EKK) midway through the week so I had to remove it and do my nails for Thursday and Friday. I just need something simple to get me to the end of the week so I decided to paint my nails 5 different shades of red and add some rhinestones to my ring finger to bling things up. Simple and easy!

School's Out For Summer (Almost) Nails
Since this is my last week of my freshman year in college I decided that the song by Alice Cooper "School's Out" would have some appropriate lyrics for my nails. And since its summer I though a nice bright red to yellow ombre would fit the mood as well. On my left hand I wrote out "School's out for summer <3" and on my right hand I wrote "And we got now innocence." I created the gradient effect my first painting on a yellow base color and then sponging on red and orange with a art sponge. After I added the words with a nice purple acrylic paint I sealed everything off with two coats of clear top coat.

Water spotted reptile skin
I tried out the water spotting technique this week and it turned out pretty great. I started out with a yellow to dark green ombre and i layered on the spotted black nail polish. I added some thick white lines and a rhinestone to each nail to complete the look.

Reverse Double Ombre
I did ombre in both directions and used stripping tape between the layers so you could see both gradients.
