Nasty Womyn Nails

In response to the political climate and in solidarity with the Women's March, I decided to write on my nails "Nasty Womyn." Granted I didn't have a lot of time for this manicure, the simple letters seemed to be important enough to take up the entire manicure.

I used a nice dark red shimmery color and then white acrylic paint to create the lettering. I added in some polka dots and called it a day.

Red and Gold Holiday Manicure

Posting this a week late, but posting this manicure regardless. I just wanted a simple and subtle holiday manicure so pairing gold and red seemed like the way to go. I first painted all of my nails with an iridescent pink polish and then free handed all of the red french tips. I covered both of my ring fingers with gold hexagonal glitter bits. I added in some black detail work to make the manicure even more regal. Finishing off with two coats of top coat, this manicure was done.

Bloody Fingerprint Nail Art

For my second spooky manicure I decided to mix glitter and gore; therefore the sparkly and bloody manicure was born. I painted on two knives on my thumbs (adding glitter of course) and then used my own fingerprints to create the bloody motif on my remaining nails. On my ring fingers I added in some more glitter and some black dripping drops to make the glitter pop. Sealing everything with a top coat finalized this spooky mani.

Crime Scene Nail Art

After a solid three days of binge watching Criminal Minds, I was inspired to do a crime scene manicure. I did a couple of nails featuring blood, a body outline, two fingerprints, and some caution tape. The fingerprint nails are my favorite by far since I used my own fingerprints to create the bloody motif. I used white nail polish to cover my finger and transfer my fingerprint over and then when I put a topcoat on top of the design the burgundy nail polish bleed through (pun intended) the white to create a red tint over the print.

Christian Louboutin Nail Art

I've done Christian Louboutin inspired nail before (like actually painting stilettos on my nails) so this time around I decided to do the ultimate Louboutin manicure. This trend has been on the internet for many years now and since my nails are adequately long enough I could do them successfully. That is, strictly speaking, painting the under part of my nails red (just like a classic Louboutin shoe).

I painted the top of all of my nails black and painted the under side of my nails first white and then red. Sealing everything with two coats of a glossy top coat, I now have a luxurious and simple manicure.

Red Lip Manicure

One of my good friends has a phone case featuring all of these adorable red lips and told me to use it as inspiration for my next manicure. This is what I ended up creating with his inspiration. I painted a white french tip first and then very carefully I painted all ten of these lips with red, black, and white acrylic paint. Thankfully my nails are long enough that I had a big enough canvas on my free edge to create these (lowkey creepy) lips.
