David Bowie and Alan Rickman Tribute Manicure

In light of this past week tragedies, I decided to do a tribute manicure featuring the great David Bowie and Alan Rickman. On my left hand I feature "Alan Rickman," "Severus Snape," a potion bottle, a black creme nail, and a Severus Snape bust outline. On my right hand I feature "David Bowie," "Ziggy Stardust," a microphone/music notes, a sliver glitter nail, and one of David's most famous makeup looks. All and all I'm pretty proud of this manicure, especially the two bust outlines.

"Bleeding Heart" Manicure

This past week I have found myself admiring heart tattoos a lot, so with that inspiration I created this manicure. I painted out an anatomically correct heart on my left thumb and then a cartoonish heart on my right thumb. I lettered in the phrase "Bleeding Heart" on the rest of my nails, don't really know why but I was digging the phrase so I went with it. I'm super pumped with the end result!

Rainbow Foil with Blue and Lavender

To replace the messed up water marble mani I did a super simple foil manicure. I painted my nails a sky blue color and lavender color, then I layered on some craft foil. Finally i created a funky french tip with a mint/lime green paint and a white moon-ish shape on my ring finger.

Water Marble Rejects

I hadn't done a water marble mani in a very long time so I decided to give it a try this week. I ended up not liking the result so I quickly erased them and did a rainbow foil mani instead.

Lavender Cut Out Nails

Didn't have a whole bunch of inspiration for this manicure so a simple see through art deco mani is usually my back up plan. I layered on a sheer pink base color and then painted a lavender nail polish on top, leaving some bits of my nail exposed. Then i added on glitter, lines, and dots to finish the look off. Still getting use to short nails, missing the long talons.
